FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to pay to use CWC as a Chef?
Nope, both registering as a chef and hosting events on our platform are completely free.
How much can I make?
The amount you make per event varies based the number of attendees. CWC members can attend your events, but it's also up to you to put the word out to your followers, friends and family. There is no limit to the number of events you can host and the submission/approval process is very simple. You can have as many events as you have recipes lol.
Every CWC host has the option to sign up as a CWC affiliate and earn monthly, recurring uncapped commission for all new members they refer. This commission is a great way to earn passive income each month.
As well, during your event(s) you can promote any additional products or services you provide (i.e cook books, courses, merch) to the attendees. There is also an opportunity to work with the CWC team and have a dedicated promotional page for your products/service that we promote across our communities.
Is there a limit to how many experiences I can host?
There's no limit to how many classes you can host, however events that are submitted have to be pre-approved by the CWC team.
Do I need to have experience as a chef to be eligible for registration?
No, but we collaborate primarily with cooks that have a demonstrated ability to prepare meals, at least as seen on their social media profiles.
How can I earn money as a host on this platform?
If you're a registered host (chef) within the CWC community you earn money for each event you host and can earn affiliate commissions for new members you refer to the CWC community. As well, during your event(s) you can promote any additional products or services you provide (i.e cook books, courses, merch) to the attendees. There is also an opportunity to work with the CWC team and have a dedicated promotional page for your products/service that we promote within our communities.
What equipment do I need?
To get started as a host all you need is a reliable internet connection, clean workspace, good lighting and a device you can stream live on (i.e. smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.). Also, when considering your workspace please be mindful of loud background noises and potential other distractions that would prohibit you from engaging effectively or negatively impact your attendees' experience for the duration of the event.
What are my requirements as a host?
All classes must be live and chef must have camera on throughout the entire duration of the experience. Chefs should be interactive, answering questions and engaging with the attendees in a positive, upbeat and respectful manner consistent with CWC standards. Our goal is to provide an authentic, fun and inclusive environment for both the attendees and hosts.
Can I record this event for content?
Cross-streaming or recording any portion of the events you host or the attendees on our platform, in any manner, is expressly prohibited and would be a violation of our privacy policy. While we understand the desire and need to generate content we have a duty to protect the privacy of our members, hosts and moderators. CWC records all events and, by request, may provide a content package that does not go against or violate any other agreements we have in place.
By becoming a CWC chef/ host am I an employee?
Nope, you're not an employee lol - you'd be considered an independent contractor
What can I cook/prepare during an event?
Pretty much anything you want. If something you're making uses liquor, etc. then there will be an age limit imposed for the attendees. We love unique food experiences, meals and ideas so shoot your shot!
